Corporate Responsibility(Governance)

Privacy Policy
FKS Land Surveyors is subject to the rights and responsibilities of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We are vitally aware and vigilant at all times to protect the privacy of our clients, personnel and the public. We do not seek private information except in the required duty of due diligence in land surveying and to assess the ability to pay for our services. A complete copy of our 7 point privacy policy may be obtained from our office upon request.

Occupational Health And Safety Plan & Policy
We do work in a variety of sites and conditions covered by a number of Acts and Regulations, including:

Control of Exposure to Biological and Chemical Agents Reg.

Industrial Establishments Reg.

Workplace Safety and Insurance Act

As well, we operate under a number of related vehicle, boating, ATV, and other equipment safety and security Acts, Regulations and Guidelines. We have developed a comprehensive Corporate Occupational Health and Safety Plan and Policy covering our employees, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.

Our Guiding Principles are:
Safety: Work will be performed only how, when, and where the safety of our employees can be assured.

Quality: We believe that safety and quality go hand in hand such that enhancing one will result in the enhancement of both.

Fees: Estimates and contracts for work will include reasonable remuneration, sufficient time allotment and comfortable completion dates where neither the safety of our employees nor the quality of our work will be compromised.

General: Our safety concerns will apply equally to our employees, and to our clients, suppliers, sub-contractors and the public.

Community Responsibility
We support several community based charities with in-kind and cash donations. Our yearly charitable priority list is set at budget time although we also support emergency relief when possible and encourage staff to support the charities of their choice.

Many of our staff are involved in volunteer community and youth activities. We encourage participation in community and work related clubs and associations.
